"We wanted to share our Hounds On Holiday experience with other pet owners. We were going out of town for Christmas holidays and were unable to take our 15-month-old Golden Retriever, George. George hadn't been crated for over 6 months and we were very leery about sending him to a kennel. After doing some research we came across Hounds On Holiday.

From beginning to end this service has been nothing but professional and extremely accommodating. We had an initial assessment of our dog’s needs and home-life routines and a detailed daily activity journal was developed. Nothing was left out. We were ensured that George would have a routine very similar to his home routine, and would be exercised as much, if not more, than at home. Also, that he wouldn't be left alone for any longer than an hour or two (we don't think he was ever left alone!)

It is so obvious that George was in excellent hands and deeply loved by his host family: Les, Sophia and their Golden, Ben. He came back very well exercised, happy and healthy! I think he even went through some withdrawal of not seeing his host family and his newfound playmate! George came back even more trained than when we left, and we have been able to continue not using his halty. He is doing excellent off leash and is definitely much calmer after having a vacation with his host family.

We can't thank our host family enough for everything they have done for George. The journal, pictures and video clips were just over the top. We have been able to share these things with our friends and family, who couldn't believe the amount of love that went into everything.

We will definitely contact Hounds On Holiday again to arrange for George to have another holiday with Les, Sophia and Ben! As first time users of this service you have certainly made believers out of us, and we will continue to boast about everything that Hounds On Holiday and their dedicated host families have to offer. Thank you again for everything... it's a wonderful thing that you do - we will be in touch in the near future for sure!"
